After her graduation in law in 2005, Elena Brioschi went on to complete a master degree in innovation management at Fondazione Cuoa, Altavilla (VI). During her study she became aware of the importance of IP assets for companies and she choose to develop her skill on two different, but linked, areas: intellectual property and business management. Elena decided to learn more about IP matters by completing a master in intellectual and industrial property at MIP School of Management of Milan Politecnico. Her aim is to protect the company’s most important assets like trademarks, designs, patents, copyright, know-how, trade secrets providing reliable solution with three different step: defend, develop and enforce the IP portfolio.
Since the beginning of her career in IP, Elena has mainly worked in fashion and luxury market segment, dealing with trade marks but also with design and copyright protection. She has extensive experience in shape protection since she worked in Vicenza for 6 years which is the centre of jewellery Italian industry. After that, she came back to Milan, running her own IP consultancy firm for 5 years before joining Murgitroyd’s Milan office.
As a Trade Mark Attorney, Elena’s day-to-day work is IT, UE and Madrid trademark and design filing and prosecution; she has experience in IT and EU oppositions, helping clients identify, create and protect their rights.
She has been lecturer in several conferences and seminars in Italy and has been part of the faculty of a course for middle manager on IP assets at Fondazione Cuoa in Altavilla.
Elena was appointed Director, Trade Marks in December 2021.
