Alison Wilson
Directeur, Marques
Following completion of a law degree, Alison Wilson spent some time practising conveyancing and family law in Yorkshire. In 2004 she decided that intellectual property was the field she wanted to specialise in for the remainder of her career, and moved south to pursue it. Alison became a qualified Registered Trade Mark Attorney in October 2016.
Alison specialises in providing advice in relation to trade mark law, and has experience in a wide range of areas. She advises on trade mark clearance searches, filing trade mark applications, advising on the best filing strategy appropriate to the client’s needs and on trade mark protection and resolving disputes.
She also files and defends oppositions and cancellation actions, and drafts and records assignments and licences. Other responsibilities include advice in relation to passing off and counterfeit matters.
Alison has a wide range of clients in the cosmetics field, as well as entertainment, medical, chemical, food and drink, fashion and accessories, jewellery, travel, telecommunications, electronic goods, the financial sector and the automobile industry.
Alison also coordinates and assists with the training of our Trainee Trade Mark Attorneys. Her role is to ensure all trainees receive the best training possible, to qualify as Chartered Registered Attorneys and to provide our clients with the best advice.
