Claire Gray was appointed Director, Patent Paralegals in August 2021. In her role, Claire is responsible for key client accounts and for leading paralegal teams. She mentors junior paralegals and contributes to their training and the development of the Paralegal team. Claire works closely with our Attorney team and assist in the management of Patent portfolios for a wide range of clients.
Claire has substantial experience in liaising with clients and foreign associates worldwide, as well as communicating directly with patents and design offices worldwide.
She is experienced in all aspects of paralegal responsibilities – preparing and filing formalities documents, reporting and monitoring deadlines, producing IP schedules including cost forecasts. Claire is also experienced in handling recordals of transfers internationally.
Claire’s experience extends to supporting the preparation and filing of design applications, onboarding of new clients and acquisition of offices and the standardisation of work in the Patent Paralegal department. Claire is involved in the careful onboarding of new tasks transferred to the Patent Paralegal department, liaising with other department Heads.
Claire regularly accompanies Attorneys during client visits in the UK and in the US. Claire regularly lectures at in-house CIPA Courses.
